1. William Byrne
Partner, Holland & Knight

William Byrne is a Partner at Holland & Knight. Byrne serves on the firm’s elected directors committee and the leadership team of its transportation and infrastructure industry sector group. He has more than four decades of experience in transportation law, with deep focus on rail, road, ocean, and intermodal (multimodal) matters. 

His practice covers federal and state compliance, freight and passenger rail corridor development, motor carrier and broker agreements, equipment leasing and interchange, and charter parties. Byrne has represented clients in major M&A and restructuring transactions, including the acquisition and leasing of rail lines for all classes of rail carriers. He also handles a wide range of commercial and corporate matters and frequently advises on litigation and arbitration strategies. 

Earlier in his career, Byrne served as CEO of a New York-based commercial representative of a Brazilian ship-owning and chemical group. He began as a maritime lawyer in New York and has since served as arbitrator in maritime disputes and is a certified Circuit Court mediator in Florida. Byrne holds a JD from the Pace University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University.

 

2. Susan Lent
