Concurrent private placements secured an additional $153.4 million, while the initial public offering included 20 million American Depository Shares (ADSs) priced at $13.00 each, raising approximately $260 million. The IPO proceeds, totaling $413.4 million if overallotment options are exercised, will accelerate Pony.ai’s mission to deliver safe and accessible autonomous mobility solutions. Strategic investors such as JSC International Investment Fund SPC and Guangzhou Nansha Chicheng Future Industry Investment Fund participated in these placements, underscoring confidence in the company’s vision.
Founded in 2016, Pony.ai has made remarkable strides in autonomous technology, achieving nearly 40 million kilometers of autonomous driving on public roads. The company operates over 250 robotaxis and has launched fare-charging driverless services in major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Co-founders James Peng and Tiancheng Lou emphasized their commitment to redefining mobility through innovation and perseverance.
